The Miraculous Octopus

This week join Roger Billings and the Science Live crew in an exploration of one of nature’s most remarkable creatures: the octopus!

We’ll learn about the octopus’s remarkable camouflage abilities and the science that allows them to change color and texture in as little as 200 milliseconds.     The Octopus that can change color by the sensation of the skin. While being colorblind, and the octopus is thinking ahead to get its prey and when predators find the octopus it hides in a coconut. To say, I didn’t know they have 9 brains.

    Octopus beaks are alot like parrot beaks, and they’re made out of the same material crab shells are (chitin)! they’re also retractable and any space an octopus can fit its beak, it can fit the rest of it’s body!
