Those images are so cool! The ocean really does have some of the most interesting organisms to ever exist!
We agree, Sterling! 🐬
How bright could it be if the imaging technology caught a bioluminescent species?
It is amazing to think how much engineering went into creating that sea rover. It must withstand a lot of hydrostatic pressure, absolutely mind blowing!!!
Thats cool
I love science live
It is really awesome when you discover something that has been here all this time and you never knew it was actually there.
Science is amazing! 🤩
Hello Science Live!
Hello from Hawaii.

Hi from North Carolina!
I love octopi! Hello from California!
What is the possible range of the lasers?
I love science live
Zaphnathpaaneah Here from VA. I like the idea of using the microscopes to see different things and him talking about isotopes and the octopus got me interested.
Hello from Phuket!
Hi, from Georgia.
hi from Savammah
Hello from houston !!
how can carbon be found deep in the ocean, and how did these new spices get found so quickly even there it take millions of year for new spices to exist.
how small is the lasers frequency?
Hello from Georgia.
hallo from Illinois
Awesome video
very nice
jellyfishes are one of my favorite animals. Their so fascinating.
Thank you Dr.Billings.
Hi from tn
I’ve never seen red jellyfish!
Thanks for this Science Live😊
Loved this video. Can’t wait for next weeks!
The ocean is so big and unexplored, so cool to see all the new species they are finding!
Hi from MT
Hey Landon! I’m from MT too!

Excited to learn.
Greetings from all the way in New Brunswick, Canada!
Hello from OHIO !
It is really awesome all of the new techniques we build and use to find new things, such as animals.
Great point! New techniques for discovering animals highlight how science keeps expanding our world — it really inspires curiosity and shows students there’s still so much to explore! 🚀
can’t wait for DR roger billings and i love science live
Hello ScienceLive
hello from mississippi
Hello from Florida
Hi from New Mexico and what kind of sea creature is this?🤔
Hello from Texas
Why are most of the creatures translucent?
Hello from Missouri!!
Hi from ms
How can they remember what everything was and or what it did like did they label all of the equipment or did they just try to memorize it?
Thats awesome!

hi from NC
Hi from Kentucky
I love science live.
WOW I’m learning sm
Hello Everyone!
hi from md
It’s crazy how we explored more of space than the ocean!
Could we use these lasers in space to get 3d images?
Hello from NC. How cool to see those sea creatures using those instruments!
cant wait for the next live!
Im Colton from South Carolina
Hello from texas
Hello from Maryland!
3D imaging is cool!
This is cool!!!!
Hi from CT!!! Love the lives each week really enjoying geometry and social studies as always. Love Acellus!
Why do you think that interest in deep sea exploration isn’t nearly as prevalent as interest in space exploration? Is there a way to get more people interested in exploring the unknown depths of our planet?
Good question! Space feels more glamorous and visible, while the deep sea is tougher to explore and showcase. More engaging media and education could definitely help build interest. 🌊
The ocean is so cool to learn about and the technology is they use is fascinating!
I’m excited to learn about science tonight!
hi from S.C
Hi from Brazil!
Haiii from Iowa and I love science live
That’s so amazing 😃🥰
It’s crazy how smart animals can be.
I’ve never considered a spider might disguise itself as a fungus. That’s really cool.
That part of the water being more than the rainforest is crazy.
I wonder how many sea animals are in the midwater? 🧐
Hello! I’m watching from Connecticut! Congrats to that Sebastian the rover for finding all of those AMAZING species underwater! Those jellyfish almost look like aliens! 🪼 I’m really enjoying this Science Live so far!
So cool
I would love to see this in person!
Does the laser imaging cause harm to the sea creatures?
Excited for today’s live! 😃
Hello from Arkansas. Interested in the underwater cameras. Getting certified to suba dive this summer.

I hope everyone is doing good
Hello from nebraska!
Owen from Reno excited for science live!
That’s pretty interesting. I didn’t know that there are still more species to discover.
Hello from nc! It’s so cool you can see this creatures structure through this laser! This is by far one of my fav science lives!

I didn’t know spiders could camouflage, that’s quite interesting.
Hello from Idaho
Awesome camera
If we could only go deep enough to see the real wonders we have yet to see in the ocean it will be so amazing !
It’s interesting that a certain kind of spider can make itself look like a fungus and scientists are still studying it to discover more about it. I also think that it’s interesting that scientists have discovered 30 new species of sea creatures in their two week discovery. Thanks for sharing!
