I did not know a capacitor was a cheap battery. When I heard that I immediately thought of back to the future and watching it with my mother and wondering what a flex capacitor was at the time. It was very cool to realize what that meant. I also wanted to say I thought it was pretty cool that the prize for the science fair was a navy cruise in California. That sounds amazing although your flight sounded terrible. Thank you for sharing those stories.
Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only one that thought of Back To The Future!

How high a jet can fly?
We LOVE science live. You always make it so entertaining and engaging for all ages.
We do have a question to follow up with the requirements for science live scholarship. So we only have to log in and watch, not comment? Somewhere I have read that a comment is now required to count for the scholarship.
This was my favorite science live! Thank you so much.
How many different things can we power with hydrogen?
Thank you Dr Roger Billings. I enjoy doing these science live.
I made a connection between the antenna design and the scientific studies of ancient scientists, such as Leonardo DeVinci, that were considered more artistic than scientific. Is there any correlation between these two theories?
Fantastic! Always a new fascinating topic!

What a fascinating bit of history! Benjamin Franklin’s scientific curiosity was truly groundbreaking. While Alessandro Volta invented the chemical battery, it was Franklin who coined the term ‘battery’ itself and established the fundamental concepts of positive and negative charge. This work was absolutely essential, laying the conceptual groundwork for all future electrical storage and technology. His genius didn’t just help the world; it truly powered the foundation of the modern electrical age
If the plans NASA has could reduce the effects of sonic booms, do we think we could ever have a supersonic car or land vehicle that could safely move that quickly?
Tell r51 that if he wants to make his own version of morse code he needs to put a little bit more efort
