November 12, 2025 • EPISODE 286
How do invisible waves travel across the world and beyond? In this episode of Science LIVE, Dr. Roger Billings dives into the fascinating science of radio waves—how they’re created, how they move through space, and how they make long-distance communication possible. From the basics of frequency and transmission to early breakthroughs like Morse code and modern applications such as HAM radio and space communication, join us as we explore the hidden currents that keep us connected.

Another great episode of Science Live!
This is so cool learning about radio waves!!!
Cant wait to get older and travel the world.
I wonder how far into the future we will still be using radios to communicate, considering its been over 100 years since its invention.
So amazing the discovery of radio waves. Very interesting
I wonder if there are other waves that haven’t been discovered.
Radio waves sound so cool! Amazing!
Yes on both courses and both activitys
Does solar activity affect radio wave transmission more than most people realize?
What makes radio waves different from other types of waves in the electromagnetic field?
I never thought radio waves could be so cool. These videos changed my mind about a lot of things. Thanks to these videos I’m starting to like science more and more! Amazing!
Love radios never knew about the awsome waves-some things we take for granted
I would love to see this one day!
Radios are so cool, I’ve always wondered how they worked, this episode was so fun!
What are the major differences in the radio waves?
This video makes me want to learn Morse Code.
Love this live one of my favs!!
I love science live, and all the work you put into it!
It’s so interesting to learn about how the radio waves work!
I’ve always been fascinated by radio waves.
Learned so many new things from this live!
I wanna travel across the world!!
And I love learning about AM and FM love acellus academy 💕💕💕😘😘😘
Wow. that is cool!!
Radio waves are pretty amazing!
Wow! So cool! Never heard of these before!
Amazing
I know how to do the SOS Morse code now! radio is a great invention!
Didn’t know radio waves could be so cool!
It is cool they tought us about AM and FM I never known what that meant now I do.
Radio waves are so interesting.
This is my first time learning about AM and FM now i know what it means.
Yes sir, I would be interested in learning about ham radios.
I would also love to become a helicopter pilot once I reach high school!
In addition, I am in theatre and would love to learn how to set-up the “lighting” and “sound” for plays, concerts, and other events. I am learning to play the piano currently, am going to take lessons for bass guitar and my sister plays percussion instruments. We would love to have a class on how to set-up and “record” our own music, vocals and voice acting to then be able to sync them all together into one recording.. .
Thank you!
Radio waves are so fascinating!
Go science liveee!!!!!
Radio waves are so cool
Radio waves are like magic based on how they work
Hey from Virginia
Hi from Tennessee
Roger Billings looking fresh as always
I love science
I love these
Radio waves are really fascinating to me; thank you for the deeper dive into the subject.
This episode kind of made me want to learn Morse Code.
Fascinated by radio waves
Cool!
I think ham radio is really cool. My dad has a ham radio lisence.
Learnt what Am and FM mean
Radio waves really are what drive humanity I Wonder just for a moment what the world today would look like if we had never discovered them
Invisible things are still real.
radio waves are cool to learn about an can be used for several different things
Radio waves are very interesting
I love all types of supernatural/scientific shows and lately I’ve been really into learning about morse code because its used in so many of those shows. that would be a really neat lesson to learn about!
Amazing episode.
It was and amazing lesson about radio waves and how long distance communication was made possible through it.
I really liked this episode.
I had a driver instructor who used to tell me about his radio. It was fun hearing more about radios:)
