Radio waves are fascinating, I didn’t know that was how they were discovered though.
I always thought lasers would produce immense heat instead of cooling, but this week’s Science Live taught me otherwise. Not only did I learn about lasers, I also had a great time and a laugh when R51 was featured again. This Science Live was so fun! Thank you.
Thank you Acellus for a awesome video on Radio Waves!!!
I haven’t really thought much about radio waves until watching this. Really interesting to learn about and actually awesome if you put some thought into it.
It would be awesome to learn about morse code and hearing about the girl that got a 35 on her ACT was very inspiring.
I saw the nothern lights for the first time and it was so pretty.
This one has been my favorite yet.
I didn’t expect to find radio signals so interesting and it’s cool to know some Morris code. 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I absolutely love Acellus!
The concept of how the radio waves were discovered was really interesting in this episode.
Radio Waves are very interesting. Thank you for taking the time to do these episodes.
I knew coral had so many colors, yet I never knew it was alive. And that might be one of the coolest things the world has to offer.
The story about the radio waves was pretty interesting, never would have thought such a useful invention would come from someone having some chocolate in their pocket.
Hearing about the Acellus student that scored a 35 on the ACT was so inspiring!
I’m impressed with the girl who got a 35 on her ACT test! She learned from the best.
I love this episode so much! I never knew corals was alive! They’re so beautiful and colorful! My favorite part is Area 51, so funny!
One of my favorite parts of the Acellus program is Science Live. I’ve learn so much about the branches of science and their contributions in everyday life.
I look forward to the new videos weekly. Thank you.
I loved this live, Thank you Acellus for teaching me about radio waves, also is it not fascinating how something like coral that looks like a rock is alive?!
Science discoveries are amazing
This was a really fun and interesting video! Thank you Acellus!
Thank you Acellus!
I’m happy to be back after a few months of public schooling. I enjoy these videos and home school more.
I liked the entire video. One of the things I learned was studying very day is better than studying a lot in one day.
it was fun learning about how people use to use radios before podcasts
I learned a lot from this video. I learned consistent studying daily will make me a better student. I will study a little very day.
I love the ocean 😀
acellus is amazing
Corals are beautiful. My dad has different types of coral in our aquarium. It’s so neat to feed them and watch them come alive.
Studying a little bit every day is the best way for me to learn!
What actually blocks or weakens radio waves?
It’s pretty cool you know Morse code.
Radio waves are neat because they have the ability to travel between walls.
I never knew about the watch on the moon! That was so cool!
the Omega watch looks so so cool!
How far can ham radios reach out to?
A morse code class sounds fun, I have always wanted to learn it!!!
Acellus is the best.
Such a fascinating episode, thank you!
I never realized how important radiowaves were! They are everwhere.
Radio waves are interesting how they work and function has always intrigued me
I would loveeee if we did a morse code course, I would feel like Pam and Jim from the office when they pranked Dwight with pen clicking. 🤣
Alright science live I am excited. Radio waves!
I have never heard of lasers cooling quantum computers, thanks for including that
I’ve always thought Morse code is super cool!! I’ve been procrastinating learning its alphabet, but this makes me want to learn it even more!
Would the astronauts wear their watches on the outside of their suits?
This episode was very interesting to me because i never really got into the whole soundwave concept, im so glad i learned it now because it was really interesting!!
I enjoyed this episode on radio waves and frequencies. I learned something new. I would be interested in a radio course. I think the helicopter pilot training course would be absolutely exciting and fun to learn.
I think the Morse Code class is a good idea. I would like to learn Morse Code
I am interested in the radio and helicopter pilot course. These course sound fun and exciting.
My favorite part in this live was learning about the fluorescent coral.
Wow without those watches that would have been devestating! I will sure look at a watch differently after this! Learning about morse code was really cool! Thanks again for another great Live!
I really enjoyed learning about Radio Waves.
I want to have a helicopter class please.
Well its good to know now that I shouldn’t cram as much studying as possible in one go, so that way I have time to process and use that information to get me better grades.
i thought the ham radio class would be so fun and i liked break threw moments in science with tobies was sooo cool just want to say thank you so much for sience live i love it.
Thank you so much for doing these weekly, I really enjoy watching these!
Radio waves are so cool! Morse code has so many facts I did not know about. They are NEAT!!!!
I really love Acellus.
I loved learning about the HAM radio. It was really cool 😎😎😎.
Yes on the HAM radio and avaiation courses!
Omega watch story is very interesting! Thank you so much for the information you all shared!
I really enjoy this program.
Radio waves are very interesting! And Ham radios are very interesting on how you can talk to people in other cities, states and countries
I think it pretty cool how they did the tests and how the omega was chosen.
I always wondered how a.m. and FM radio works
I believe radios are still very important to this day. My dad uses a radio a lot for his job. Now I better understand how they work. Thanks for the lesson and I think a helicopter pilot would be cool.
I really enjoyed science live. The shirts turned out really pretty. I am excited to try and get one.
I really love the R51 did it shirt, excited to get one soon.
Do you still have the tower?
Cognitive overload? Sounds like what I go through every day (not with school though)! Also THANK YOU I’ve never known the difference between AM and FM so knowing AM helps! Those t-shirts came out so good, I love them!! I hope everyone has a great week ahead of them!!
That was cool learning how the astronauts used their watches on Appolo 13 and how important it was to leave the burner on for only 14 seconds
This is so cool I love science! It’s my favorite subject. I’m always learning something new!
Wow that would be amazing to take a school course on how to be a pilot, and learn how to use a Ham Radio! I can’t wait. Acellus is awesome!
How fast do sound waves move?
Wow the coral is pretty cool, also never knew that is how radios worked.
Thank you for makeing theses! there so fun to watch :3
I will do research on different ways to study so that I can hopefully do better.
congratulations to the girl that got a 35 on the SAT. That’s really impressive!
you can say that again!!
The daily goals are super helpful.
Astronauts keeping time matters for everything they do in space. Time means life or death in many cases. I never knew the story of Apollo 13 and how vital the use of the Omega watch was. They had to shut everything down on the spacecraft and relied on their watches to survive. Wow… Way to go, Omega for passing all 10 tests and winning the Snoopy award!
Thank you so so much for doing these weekly, I really enjoy watching these lives!
I really enjoyed this episode and learning about radio waves!
That is interesting. I need to start a daily routine for studying as well
I really loved hearing about the spacing effect and how important it is to be consistent with your study habits. Study a little bit every day so that your brain doesn’t go into overload. Lesson learned. No cramming.
R-51 is so funny, thank you for the lesson!
I will have to re-watch the Apollo 13 movie. I didnt notice they were using their watches while they were trouble shooting on the shuttle. Maybe they re-created it in the movie but I don’t remember.
the best way to test theories is with research. that’s good to remember!
I think it’s really impressive that Dr. Billings knows morse code. It’s this whole other language and he must have a really good memory. I don’t think I could remember all those dots and taps.
Do they still use the same type of watch?
Do you have to pay for a hand-radio license. Or do you have to go to school to get one.
I need to find out where to buy that lizard toy, I wanna see what my cat would do. >:)
wow❤️❤️❤️
I think studying every day is important for retaining information.
This episode was great. I loved the information about the Omega watch and NASA. I also found the segment on ham radio fascinating.
Acellus academy is genuinely the best I’m so glad to finally start!
I thought it was amazing how the former Acellus student was able to receive a scholarship to one of the top universities in her state. And because of her routine, I think I should maybe commit to a routine too
Watching from Georgia:) look forward to these videos!
it was fun to learn about radio waves because my dad is a huge nerd about them and I love listening to him talk on his radios
I dont know if I already commented because my computer glitched but I wanted to say thank you to everyone that makes these Science Lives happen and I enjoy watching!
Thank you acellus for the weekly science lives.
I actually got to see the northern lights when they were viewable from so far away. I think the science behind it is very interesting.
How many snoopy rewards have been given out to people?
Radio Waves are intriguing, I’m glad they found them since otherwise Wifi wouldn’t exist and we wouldn’t have phones or internet without it
Radio waves are so cool. I love how dad can talk to people on the ground and hear other pilots while flying
A Morse code course/activity would be awesome
I thought that Dr. Tobias bringing up the fact the astronauts would need a way to tell time was very interesting, I never thought about the fact the at they would need it for so much.
I love Acellus
R51 is the best! We love him!
I can’t begin to imagine going into space much less depending on a wrist watch to keep me alive. Scary!
I think it’s crazy that they started studying radio waves cuz of a chocolate bar
i love Acellus
I loved this episode !!! I learned so much about Radio waves. Radio waves are a type of electromagnetic radiation with the longest wavelengths and lowest frequencies! Invisble waves travel very long distances and are created by oscillating electric and magnetic fields! Wow! Thank you Dr.Roger Billings for your in-depth explanation about radio waves.
I want to take a pilot class!!
I would definitely do a Morse code course!
I think radio really revolutionized communication. Especially in military applications. I wonder where it will take us next?
Radio waves are very important and used in different ways. The morse code is very interesting and used in the military. My granddaddy and grandmother were in the military.
Amazing episode, really enjoyed watching this one!
I never knew Buzz wore a watch when landing on the moon!
i think adding a morse code class and a ham radio class would be really interesting.
The pilot aviation class sounds really interesting!
It is crazy how much the Omega watch can withstand.
i love science live❤️
Great study tips!
I love Acellus!
Radio waves are really fascinating! Thank you for the broadcast!
Science Live is truly filled with much fun and knowledge by watching every week.
I wonder if there is a way to measure radio waves.
With the great barrier reef having living coral and other organisms, does that make it one of the largest living things? It is always growing and being disrupted simultaneously but it will always be beautiful.
I didn’t realize what am and fm stood for and how that works until now. Very interesting!
I watched it. I would love a class about radio waves. Thank you Acellus for these videos and for my education.
Thank you Acellus
My mom watched this with me and said all her life never knew buzz aldrin even thought about a watch when he was making a histrionic event come to live when he landed on the moon
I love science lives💕💕
It’s so fascinating how far technology has grown over the years!
Ok I don’t know if I’m too late for this or if this is even the place to say this, but as a kid who has loved aviation for most of my life and has dreams of becoming a pilot one day, a course to become a pilot is the best course that I could imagine. I don’t know if others agree with me but I would definitely make this course; from my prospective though. Also great episode 🙂
The Ham radio is cool because you can talk to anyone far away. I like the shirt says R51 did it shirt!
I love these videos. So interesting. Thanks, Acellus!
Why did you (Dr. Billings) have to learn morse code?
Last summer I went to the Kennedy space center in Florida and met an astronaut. His name was Bob Cenker and he was very kind.
I really like watching the science lives because I learn new things
I liked learning about ways that NASA was able to help astronauts keep track of time in space. Also, enjoyed learning more about radio waves.
So cool they wear watches to the moon!!!
Radio waves are cool and fun to learn about.
How does the radio waves produce a broadcast through just the waves?
Another awesome episode! So cool with the radio waves and being able to communicate with people all over the world when you were just a young man! Just when I think we have learned about all of the things you discovered/learned growing up, and you pull another one out to tell us about! So cool:) I love all of the t-shirts and can’t wait to buy a couple of them:) Way to go you guys….so creative:)
I learned that radio waves are either higher or lower waves. They are powerful, effective, and important to the whole world.
Stealing the joke from the beginning
Yay – course on piloting!
I want to see the radio class and the pilot class come to Acellus. I would like for Dr Roger Billings to do a class on Acellus.
Bioluminescence reminds me about the firefly.
This episode is great. Thanks for doing these weekly, Acellus!
How to say Acellus in morse code?
i loved the way you talked about radio waves it was really cool and yes, i would like a radio and how to become a airplane classes!
The omega watches look really cool
The photo of Dr. Billings on the tower is incredible!
So, is the astronaut who they named Buzz Lightyear after?
My favorite fact about radio waves is that they are completely invisible, yet they carry almost everything we use every day: Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, TV, and all radio communication.
I really like this episode, it was entertaining , and also great to see a picture of you from back then. Please do have a ham radio course. It would be so fun!
I never thought I would hear laser and cooling in the same sentence.
I absolutely love watching science live. I used to hate everything about science but now I really enjoy researching about random things, thinking “What causes this to happen, and how can we use this in everyday life?” It has opened my eyes to the prospective that science it a wonderful thing! Thank you so much for every thing you do, Dr. Roger Billings!
I would love to learn Morse code in class.
I didn’t know how important time was in space!
Thank you for this Sience Live!
Another great week watching Science Live! By the way, I am watching from Maryland❤️❤️
Also, can we please have a class for entrepreneurship? I started my own little brand but I want it to grow. Another question I have is can we please have an arts and crafts class for high school that involves pottery, drawing, painting, etc?
I love learning about the moon landing. It’s one of my favorite things to study in science and history!
What exactly makes the Northern lights appear in the first place?
I loved the story of how radio waves were discovered!
Do radio waves lose their power through range and if so then how long does it take for them to completely dissapte.
How are radio waves turned into sound waves in phones.
I would love to have a class about Ham Radio!
Morse code seems very interesting and I would like to learn about it more
Thats so cool coral is alive! I never knew coral had that many colors.
I wonder if Omegas watch sales went up after this science live.
Who knew coral could have such vibrant colors?
i would like an pilot class
I would really like to learn Morse code
