November 5, 2025  •  EPISODE 285

How do you turn a great idea into a success? In this episode of Science LIVE, Dr. Roger Billings takes students through the invention process—from the first spark of inspiration to creating something people truly love. Featuring t-shirt designs by Acellus students, he explores what makes certain ideas stand out and connect. Discover how understanding the invention process can help you bring your own creative ideas to life—and turn them into success stories.

The ice would be a serious problem for planes, and I would know. My dad worked on planes as a mechanic in the Air Force. It would disrupt the aerodynamics of the plane, it could also make it front heavy if enough ice built up, which could cause it to flip over.🛫✈️🛬

I’m very familiar with the fast freezing process and it sounds like if the ice on the aircraft disrupts the flow on the wings, then it could freeze other parts of the plane, like the interior of the engine. Is that possible?
