Dr. Billings, what made you want to start Acellus?

    Reply

Trains are one of the best methods of travel in my personal opinion. The lack of public transit is one of the main issues of the country. The thing is that it allows people to get from point A to point B without breaking the bank. Plus, it allows people to socialize, which is a good thing since America is (wether intentionally or not) isolating by design. Having public transit could also reduce our usage of fossil fuels since carpooling reduces the amount of fossil fuels that are actually used. Plus, it could reduce traffic. Most cars have just one person in them, but often have more than 5 seats of space. Buses often hold a lot more people, and waste less space.

I thought it was so fascinating that in the 1930s, a man named Chester Carlson got a job in New York where you had to be a copier and write everything down by hand. I had no idea that back then, if people wanted to copy something, they’d have to write the entire thing themselves.

Comment I love shirt #11 because it reminds me of the I ❤️NY shirt and I think those are super cute! Also, the talk on how a printer works is fascinating; He really illustrates the process that the machinery undergoes quite well and efficiently! I feel confident in talking about and explaining about it to my friends hehehe! I love science live because I feel like it teaches us students about random yet necessary things that we think about especially as a small child, a funny example is when I went to the bank with my parents and they would send a check up through the machine in the drive-through and it would suck it up and bring it to the bank itself, I just thought that was so fascinating, but I never could understand or wrap my head around how exactly it worked hahah
