Introduction to Inventioneering
October 29, 2025 • EPISODE 284
What does it really take to create something that changes the world? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings introduces Inventioneering—the blend of creativity and engineering that turns ideas into reality. But inventioneering isn’t just for scientists and engineers—it can be applied to any career or project. Students are invited to take on a special challenge: design and submit their own t-shirt for a chance to have it featured in the Acellus Store!

He’s really amazing.
I wonder how invention making and engineering will change and evolve together in the future?
I learned more in acellus than public school this great.
I love social studies!!!
The technology spotlight about nonograms was my favorite part of this episode. They had to do a kidney surgery on the pig where they couldn’t see the kidney. However, they added micro bubbles that could actively see the active direction the blood flowed. The bubbles could do this since they expanded and contracted with the sound from the blood.
This is the first time hearing the term, “Inventioneering.” Super cool. Coding is definitely important.
Me and my older brother and sister all say that our favorite teacher on Acellus is Dr. Edmond.
He’s funny, thorough, straight to the point, and drives the concept home.
Everything about Dr. Edmond’s History Courses just makes me wish I always had the opportunity to attend Acellus.
I came in 10th now I am in 11th grade, and his courses have been nothing but fun.

I never knew that the invention of a camera had so much history. That is impressive how they worked with tech back then when it wasn’t really as advance as it it now. I always wondered how they did it! Thank you. Now I am inspired that one day I could make a new invention and I can do anything I put my mind to. And again, thank you.
