Inventioneering
November 26, 2025 • EPISODE 288
What does it really take to bring ideas to life? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings takes us deeper into the world of inventioneering—the dynamic mix of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving that turns imagination into real-world inventions. He shows how inventioneering isn’t limited to tech or science—it can be applied to any creative or practical project. If you’ve ever had a spark of inspiration, this episode will help you learn how to shape it into something meaningful and impactful.

A naval science cruise would be interesting
Didn’t know that Ben Franklin was the reason that there is positive and negative charge for the battery placement and that he had something to do with it.
If you were able to meet Mr. Benjamin Franklin, what would you ask him?
What kinds of real-world projects do you suggest students try first when starting as inventioneers?
If possible, could you make the pages on the books longer in the activities for higher grades? I have some amazing stories that are quite long in my notepad
Batteries have been around a long time
Hello from Virginia, Happy thanksgiving!
The Area 51 segment was really funny and I think the story of how batteries were made was really cool
I am grateful for my family and my friends.
It’s crazy how far Morse code has come!
Thank you for another great episode. We enjoyed Dr. John talking about the X59 Supersonic jet and how they are trying to reduce the sonic boom sound. We also really liked Dr. Tobias telling us about the Leyden jar and how it led to Benjamin Franklin inventing the “electric batteries”. And R51 was hilarious as always!
Wow, cool thank you for this. I’m glad the scholarship attendance was clarrified! The battery part was cool.
I love these can’t wait for this wednesday!

I really enjoyed this SCIENCE live. It is crazy that you could create a spark the way described in the video. I am also looking forward to using my unlocked activities after I complete my goals.
Hello from Vietnam
How different would the world be today if we discovered electricity 100 years earlier?
I agree there is always something to be grateful for. I chose to see the glass half full! I found the pitot tube info interesting especially about the altitude changing the speed.
I liked learning about inventioneering.
I am grateful for Acellus. I learn so much with this program, and I don’t have to stress about anything.
I really would like to ride on one of those supersonic jets one day. That would be awesome!
Thank you for teaching us about inventing.
