Alwaya find these interesting. The inerworkings of a radio have always been interesting to me and im glad they did an lesson on them.
It was very interesting to listen to the explanation given by Caleb and David, recounting how radios were tuned to send radio waves over long distances and how the first wire was installed across the Atlantic Ocean, only to be broken three weeks later.
What is the benefit of A computer chip being very long and string like in comparison to typical computer chips?

My favorite part was Dr. Jones. I thought it was interesting how they were using fabrics and a new technology and I thought it was interesting how they are making smart clothing, it will be interesting to see what they can do with that

This is so cool! WiFi and radios have always confused me on how they work and how they were named, so this really answered most of my questions.
I really enjoyed the series on the radio. To me it is hard to believe the Bill Lear worked with Thomas Edison and Dr. Billings worked with Bill Lear. It is amazing what great minds can do when working together. Sometimes we thing we have to keep our great ideas together, but it seems that sharing ideas is the way to go.
Once again David and Caleb did a good job finishing up our study of radios and radio waves. It is hard to believe that at one time there was a wire on the bottom of the ocean to transmit from Europe to the United States. Inventions have some a long way since then, I cannot being to imagine what inventions lie ahead. Cars that fly? Computers imbedded in your arm. Who knows, maybe I will be involved in some new discovery that might change the world.

The Technology Spotlight hit close to home for me as I have an uncle who is special needs. In watching the presentation I wondered how the threads that could be used for smart clothing — where you could have a computer in your sweater or gloves….what if you could have a computer in your brain that would help you with fine motor skills, speech or even, as a stretch, help someone that has vision or hearing issues be able to function much better in the world. I know science has come a long way in the last 30 years. I wonder what will be possible by the time I am ready to enter college? What ideas I myself may be able to come up with using some ingenuity and intelligence!! Only time will tell. Thank you, Acellus!
I never thought I could learn some much about WiFi and Radios it’s so interesting to learn about every day you can learn something new.
I found the make your own R51 radio interesting.
Also, my take away about the student who was trying to make a coil and got frustrated. I believe that sometimes our ego can take over our thoughts and make us react in a manner that can block our ideas or what we are trying to convey and making us look like we are not able or capable of greatness.
It’s amazing what you can create.
