Interesting and funny how mold can be something so useful in space, when in most people’s daily lives, it’s something we try to avoid as much as possible.
Mold, especially melanized fungi, is fascinating because it can actually use radiation to grow. Instead of being harmed by high-radiation environments, these molds absorb the energy and convert it into a usable form through melanin, almost like doing a “radiation version” of photosynthesis. Their ability to thrive in places like Chernobyl shows how incredibly adaptable life can be and gives scientists new ideas for studying survival in extreme environments. :33
Technology can improve our health and that’s exciting.
What will be the next life changing invention?

I absolutely love R-51! I hope he comes back in another video. Amazing video as always, thank you Acellus!
Is it possible for earth’s magnetosphere to be disrupted or the magnetic poles to go off course? What would happen to earth if this would occur? Are there other types of waves that messages can be transferred through like x-rays, gamma rays, light, etc? How do you make a simple radio transmitter?
I wonder if testing sweat instead of blood would be just as accurate in the future.
I loved learning about the experiment that Dr. Billings showed us today!
I love Roger Billings!!
I’ve always heard that science is like magic, but real 😂
I liked watching the experiment with radio waves.
R-51 is always so cool!
What is the differnece in radiation levels on Mars compared to Earth? How much more efficient are LED lights compared to the incandescent light bulbs?
