If the mold works well in shielding radiation, can it be used in nuclear power plants? There are different types of mold so does all mold do this or only the black mold? Is it safe for humans with a mold allergy?

I really like when Dr. Roger has the cup with the aluminum foil balls and he has this slider and he has the lighter really close to the LED light and he hits the button on the lighter and he holds the lighter near to the LED light and when he has that light or near the cup, but not touching it, he hits the button and the LED light comes on.

I honestly thought that radiation would kill anything in its path if your close enough to it. It amazing how something like mold is able to even eat radiation without the effects by it and helping animals and even humans by pass such major obstacles. Most people would consider it a pest in their homes but managing to be a great discovery for astronomy!
