Inventioneering
November 26, 2025 • EPISODE 288
What does it really take to bring ideas to life? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings takes us deeper into the world of inventioneering—the dynamic mix of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving that turns imagination into real-world inventions. He shows how inventioneering isn’t limited to tech or science—it can be applied to any creative or practical project. If you’ve ever had a spark of inspiration, this episode will help you learn how to shape it into something meaningful and impactful.

I never heard about the Leyden Jar until this video. Very interesting invention!
How did Benjamin Franklin experiment with the Leyden Jar?
inventioneering is a interesting word to kown
I thought all of the takeoff and landing was controlled by computers and planes. Is it true for this new plane?
Could hydrogen power a house better than solar panels?
What is one easy first step for a kid who wants to invent something.
I wonder how long it took them to design and build the super sonic plane!
The jokes at the beginning always make me giggle. Thank you!
I love Science LIVES!
its cool that the battery we use today originated from a electric jar!
ive always love jets fun to see one in action
It was very interesting to learn that Benjamin Franklin came up with the name “electric batteries” for the Leyden jars he was using for some of his experiments.
Hello from Texas.
Always learning something new from these videos, very interesting!
Dr Roger Billings truly brilliant with those jokes!
How powerful is the most intense sonic boom ever documented?

I love science live weekly!
What keeps atoms connected in a solid?
the jet is so cool!
I really enjoyed the Area 51 section today!
How do firefly glow?
Dr Tobias is so cool.
Hello from SC, happy thanksgiving
What does inventioneering look like in today’s world where many thoughts and ideas are already invention, are already engineered, are more than anything we could ever originally brainstorm/create? If we were to inventioneer something in such a world of already accomplished ideas, then are we more creative than anyone before? Inventioneering is like a main thesis to earn a PHD, where everything you’ve brainstormed before is simply a recollection of already discovered ideas/patents/creations, whereas your main thesis attempts to expand the ideas by breakthrough conclusions, expanding our previous and collective circle of knowledge.
What was Dr.Roger Billings’s first invention?
Hello, watching from Georgia!
This episode is so cool
Did the navy science cruise influence anything with acellus?
a sonic boom can be reduced THAT much? thats insane
Science live has helped me so much.
Can I make a battery from home?
Thank you! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
Love the new supersonic plane I think it’s so cool!
This was a good science lab!
Thank you this was such a good science live! I learned so much! Dr roger billings is the best!
Dr Roger Billing is awesome
I am grateful to my mom for being there for me during my tough times to keep pushing me forward while letting me know its still okay to have times I need her too.
Dr.rRoger is amazing at his job
I would love to have more episodes on Inventioneering!
I definitely want to invent something when im older
I want to be an inventor when I am older
I just joined and love the science live segment.
Hello from Tennessee!
Science live is always fun. Hydrogen power would be cool.
These videos are super fun to watch
Cant wait to watch another science video . Love them.
So excited for science live!
Cant wait to watch another science video 🙂
hi thank you for leting me get the opportunity to learn it has brought joy and happyness into my life thank you!!
Let’s go science live!
I love Acellus!!!
I didn’t know jets could make sonic booms. That’s really interesting to know!
Are there any specific skills anyone needs to inventioneer effectively?
I think the jet simulation was pretty cool.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
Heat seeking tech sounds cool.
These science lives are so fun to watch!
This video was very entertaining, suprisingly learned a whole lot!
The super sonic plane looks really cool!
Love from Nevada
Is there something that someone created that’s very successful and no one knows who the person is?
The designs of the batteries from the 50s are so cool
this science live is sooo awesome

Learning about aircraft is interesting.
How can inventioneering be applied to solve everyday problems, and what steps should someone take to turn an idea into a real invention?
I liked the part about morse code at the end.
How did he come up with this Leyden Jar idea
When Ben Franklin put Leyden jars together he said it reminded him of a battery of artillery, and started calling them electric batteries.
I didn’t know jets flew as high as the mountain. Never thought about it.
Dr Roger is so cool
