Inventioneering

November 26, 2025  •  EPISODE 288

What does it really take to bring ideas to life? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings takes us deeper into the world of inventioneering—the dynamic mix of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving that turns imagination into real-world inventions. He shows how inventioneering isn’t limited to tech or science—it can be applied to any creative or practical project. If you’ve ever had a spark of inspiration, this episode will help you learn how to shape it into something meaningful and impactful.

I liked learning about the Leyden Jar & static electricity machine that Ben Franklin turned into the battery, it changed electricity for the modern world so we could use it devices today! So cool! Sometimes when I drag my socks on the carpet then touch my mom she gets shocked with static electricity made naturally!

My mom wants to ask: About hydrogen power versus Lithium power (i.e. Tesla batteries) : can you do an episode where you compare and contrast the pros/cons please? We live in Nevada and there is a lot of lithium mining that occurs here. It destroys the land and creates a lot of negative impacts to the environment for years to come. We want to know if the collection of hydrogen for commercial use will have this kind of negative environmental impact?
