Inventioneering

November 26, 2025  •  EPISODE 288

What does it really take to bring ideas to life? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings takes us deeper into the world of inventioneering—the dynamic mix of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving that turns imagination into real-world inventions. He shows how inventioneering isn’t limited to tech or science—it can be applied to any creative or practical project. If you’ve ever had a spark of inspiration, this episode will help you learn how to shape it into something meaningful and impactful.

I thought last week’s episode of science live was amazing! My favorite part of the episode was the technology spotlight with Dr. John. I never knew that jets have the capacity to go faster than sound, learning that the loud sonic boom was because of that is extremely interesting. I once experienced a sonic boom, which scared me, so NASA trying to find a way to make the noise even a bit quieter would be amazing. This new discovery could possibly be used to help get to places faster. For example if a building collapsed this jet could get there extremely fast helping more people in record time. I loved last week’s episode and I can’t wait for this week’s interesting episodes Mr. B!

My papa is a writer and actor. Right now, I’m into creating animations with sound effects for fun. The supersonic jets were so cool. If the sound goes up, will it disturb wildlife? Also, if the pilots need a screen to see, what happens if it fails? What safety measures are there?
