I didn’t think Apollo 13 was saved by wrist watches… I should probably watch the movie to see if the movie is accurate
I would have never assumed that it was possible to cool anything with a laser. I think that’s an awesome discovery and will be very beneficial in the future.

My friend is a hamm radio operator. He let us talk to people in Brazil on the hamm radio kids day. It was cool.

I have always been interested in watches, and vintage watches in particular, but I have always had a special place for Omega watches because they’re cheaper than luxury watches, and they have a simplistic look that Omega has masterfully perfected.
And they are extremely practical.
Therefore, this was, as always, a very interesting Science Live.

I love the segment about Omega watches! I am from Switzerland and own an Omega watch. I never knew how helpful watches could be in space. But I have a question regarding that, when making the watch, did they ever have trouble with the glass and the pressure? Would the watch going to the moon have a special glass cover?
