The monarch butterfly, with its majestic wings and regal presence, reigns supreme in the world of fluttering beauties. It’s not just a butterfly; it’s a winged work of art, a sky-bound traveler, and a symbol of transformation. These orange-and-black wonders make the most epic journey, putting even the most seasoned globetrotters to shame. So, if you’re ever feeling wanderlust, just remember: the monarch butterfly has got you beat, migrating thousands of miles with nothing but the power of its delicate wings and a built-in GPS that puts your smartphone to shame.

I went to a butterfly botanical garden in Colombia (Calarca, Quindio, website-jardinbotanicoquindio.org) and the butterfly house is the shape of a butterfly as well. There were hundreds if not thousands of butterflies everywhere. So many different kinds in size, and in colors. They would land on your head, face, hands so delicately. It was really magical.
