You. Built. A. Radio?!?! Thatβs so cool!! π
will it cause the balls in the glass to move?
This is amazing
I’d like seeing Mr. Billings at area 51
Pretty cool invention Dr billings
Would houses lit with red light have any effect on human minds? Would it have the capability to change our perception or mental states in any way?
Can radio waves pass through solid objects?
Great video!
Hey, signing in from Texas”
Hello From Illinois, Have a great week!
is it dangerous to make a transmitter at home?
Science live is the best!!
Wow that’s cool
What makes foil conduct energy?
Hi! From North Carolina!
hi Selah I’m from South Carolina!
Wow, that’s cool.
So excited for this weeks live!
So radio waves qualify as invisible electricity???
I love how youβve made the comments public!
The different ways you can create sparks and electricity is amazing!
Wow!
If there is still propane in the lighter will it still work?
If you have too much spark, can it cause a huge fire disaster?
how do radio waves happen
My name hast be Luke, and I hail from the Provence of Georgia. I hast feel the need to express mine gratitude that thou hast taketh thine valuable time every Wednesday so thou hast teach myself and mine peers of the broad and great fields of science.
Love the way you talk brother! lol
A spark can make radio waves? so cool
Hello from South Carolina!
hi from illinois! love science live!
Mr billings I know this is off topic but what is that cube behind you to the right?
We rely on electricity so much.
is there any other types of metals detect sound waves? or is it only aluminum? could copper be used too?
I never thought I’d see Mr.Billings in Area 51
Are electricity and/or resistances affected by temperature?
It is surprising to see how entertaining science can be and how you can do your own science experiments with simple things you can fund at home.
What else could you use other than aluminum foil balls?
Hello from Florida! Hope every one is having an amazing day.
How much would it cost to make that contraption?
hello! Iβm from Milwaukee.
Can we try to make the experiment at home?
Hi from Indiana. I love learning things from Dr. Tobias he is funny and easy to learn from.π
R-51 should have his own class
My favorite subject is science, it’s so fun to learn about!

wow thats amazing and inspirational!
Hi from Texas! these science lives are very interesting to watch!
It’s crazy to me how you can discover things that aren’t even visible.
Some shocking results
Hi, i am from Delaware
Hello from Mississippi! Hope everyone has a good week!
If the mold can resist radiation, can it be used to make some type of shield for people that may have to be around radiation?
Copper also works to block radiation. A faraday fabric works well too!
It kind of looks like a fuse
Which ideas are just too ahead of their time? LED, Daylight Savings?
Hello from morocco
Comment
Who wouldβve known how much work went into the lights that we use daily? I never knew how LEDs took over from the previous incandescent bulbs.
Hello from montana
hey from texas
I love to watch this every wednesday.
How do the particles connect?
Hello coming from Nicholas, love acellus !
how much power do you need to turn on one light
What are the possible uses for infrared light in the future?
I’m just wondering, since we haven’t seen the Inventionering club, can you give them something to do?
Hello from north Aurora il!!
radio waves are cool.
so this is how radio was made?
This reminds me of Sorcerer’s apprentice π
Another great Science Live, full of information.
these lives are so interesting
Hello! Happy to be here!
One day I’m gonna find out how a coherer works
Radio waves are so cool!
Its really interesting how the radio was invented and how radio waves were discovered.
Hello everyone. I love science! Awesome to know how scientist do their experiments about radio waves.
Hey guys from MS.
Will Science Live have classes on Morse code?
Wow so interesting! how do inventors create a name for something that has not ever existed?
Science is so interesting!
Radio waves are very interesting!
what happened is your invention does work and you did everything right but it still doesn’t work how would you fix it to where it would work
Enjoying from TN!
I look forward to seeing this ever Wednesday, thanks
I learned a new thing about radio waves.
Thanks for always teaching us something new!
Hello from las vegas
Hello from Kentucky!
here to watch
Science is so fun! Such a great science live! Radio waves are very interesting!
what type of soundwaves can be make by sparks?
I love acellus
How was the name coherer chosen?
Great live! Thank you!
Hello from Missouri! I love science live
I’ve never heard of a coherer until today. It made me realize how a radio can be small but contain many complex parts.
do you think we will ever know about area 51
You guys always have interesting topics!!
I love R-51 Can’t wait to see his thing today it probably something with claim he built radio waves
magic is science that we don’t knew.
hahahahaha that was funny
When did researchers actually notice that black mold seemed to thrive in environments contaminated with radiation?
Hello from Nevada, Elko. Area 51 I’m his #1 FAN!!!*
Can’t wait for area 51
It’s really cool to see how frequency was created it’s something that changed how we do things its cool to see how much it has improved
Happy Wednesday
Radio waves are so cool though
I believe that science can be completely based on perspective. One person may be able to see something that another is missing and vise versa. It never hurts to have Groups or partners .
All the different discoveries are really cool, I’m so thankful that people have curiosity.
Hello from IL!
I love Acellus!!
I just love learning about how science is used so much in the world!
But nobody has been able to explain dark matter to its fullest and nobody had made a single breakthrough related to dark matter.
Acellus rules!
One thing I didn’t know was that u can make soundwaves from sparks, thanks for teaching me that.
I am watching this vieo
Great video!
Learning about the LEDs was amazing.
How did he made it even though he wasn’t trying to make any radio like object?
was it dangerous?
I love listening to all the interesting things you talk about on science live!
It’s very interesting how we’ve evolved throughout the years
Hi from Mississippi, I learn so much from these lives and I enjoy them so much!
Hi from Alaska, love the Science live! Radio waves are so interesting.
I was intrigued by the fact sound waves can be created by just a spark. What happens on a molecular level or scale? How would different techniques, pressure, or even location effect the sound waves?
Very interesting segment! Hi from california π

It’s amazing how many inventions were/are accidental discoveries.
Hi! My name is Coralynn, from Rockwood, Tennessee, I had a question. For Dr.B
If you were to get a wire and connect it to power, and unconnect it over and over, in patterns, can you send Radio waves, or Morse code that way? Is it possible to transmit code or power that way?
Please, please, please, call on my comment!
favorite thing to do on Wednesdayβs π
Hello! Interesting video today!
Hi from nevada so excited to be here
How did he come to figure that out finally?
So many fun topics covered in tonight’s science live! Electricity is very interesting!
How much mold would be too much mold growing in space to protect the astronauts headed to Mars?
What if in a emergency we could use ham radio to communicate even if power lines are down?
how did he discover that???
About using the mold as a form of isolation, wouldn’t the mold growing too big and bursting through the metal with pressure be an issue? Also, wouldn’t the mold be harmful to the astronauts if it manages to find a crack to get through and start growing on the inside? Mold takeover LOL
Live from texas
I’m fron TN what uses could infrared light have in the future?
How many people had breakthroughs in science by pure accident?
Radio waves is energy changing form!
It’s exciting to see how many people are involved with inventing just in one topic.
