I think its cool that it only took Maxwell a pencil, mathematics, and some science training to discover radio waves and that they are the same thing as light because they travel at the same speed.

I learned from Dr. John that mold can shield astronauts from radiation. Tobias talked about the inventor of the LED light. I’m hoping that we get to see the Ventioneer’s Club in this episode. Dr. Billings is showing us an experiment in Area 51. Dr. Billings also said that Marconi was a Keystone Inventor. I am excited to hear that the kit for Dr. Billings’ experiment will be for sale in the Acellus store.

Science live lately has been asking a lot a questions around the use of hydrogen. The rest if the country has falling gas prices, but Washington is still really high. I wonder if hydrogen cars would help.

I wonder, regarding the coherr-er, if it would be possible to spread the two tin foil taped things(or what is in its place) farther apart and still get a transmission is you had a bigger radio wave emission from the radio station/lighter/whatever you wanna use?

How does the mold insulation effect people allergic to penicillin?
The radio wave receiver is very interesting. Since a thing was created to send radio waves and cut them already exists I think I know how it works. There is a button and as long as it’s pressed down, the light stays on because the connection has not been severed. Once it goes up, there’s probably some kind of mechanism that disturbs the balls, making the light go off. Tell me if I’m wrong!

I never really liked science until these.
My favorite part was the about the radio waves to light the bulbs, like magic. People used to communicate through radio waves.
This was such an interesting Science Live! It is so neat to see how the frogs adapted to survive in the radioactive environment and how black mold thrived there.

I was fascinated by the information about mold being used to protect astronauts in Mars. Science is awesome. Radiation is dangerous, but mold thrives in it and can hopefully be taken to outer space to be placed in the walls. My question is, though, how would that mold affect the health of the astronauts if they are surrounded by it? It’s fascinating, but I know how bad mold is for our health. I would be interested to know. It’s funny, though, that it can be your warm and fuzzy pet in Mars.

I would love to learn more about how the key to good health can be linked to your sweat. It could be able to detect cortisol levels and eliminate blood tests in certain cases. I think I need to do some more research on this. Super cool! And we thought sweat was just gross!
Sensors to analyse our sweat and the green frogs turning black to adapt to radiation are so amazing.
I loved the lab in Area 51. It was like magic. Almost like a remote control.
