Inventioneering

November 26, 2025  •  EPISODE 288

What does it really take to bring ideas to life? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings takes us deeper into the world of inventioneering—the dynamic mix of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving that turns imagination into real-world inventions. He shows how inventioneering isn’t limited to tech or science—it can be applied to any creative or practical project. If you’ve ever had a spark of inspiration, this episode will help you learn how to shape it into something meaningful and impactful.

There were interesting points in this science live epsoide that have made me wonder, one of which was; what is the future of battery technology given we’ve gone from lead acid batteries, to where we are with lithium as of late. Is it possible we’ll see a replacement of lithium batteries as the marietals it requires to produce them become harder, and more expensive to gather, thus resulting in a shortage of batteries as the supply physically is not able to keep up with demand.
Might be a werid thought experiment I’ve taken away from watching this espoide, however I can now say I’m invested in what will power our phones, tablets, computers, even houses in the future if and when new battery solutions have to be found.

It seems like hydrogen would be a great alternative source of energy. Why do we not hear about companies developing hydrogen tech. To me it seems more environmentally friendly than even electric cars for instance. We need to create electricity to charge our cars but the electricity is still being generated by coal fired generating plants
