Inventioneering
November 26, 2025 • EPISODE 288
What does it really take to bring ideas to life? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings takes us deeper into the world of inventioneering—the dynamic mix of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving that turns imagination into real-world inventions. He shows how inventioneering isn’t limited to tech or science—it can be applied to any creative or practical project. If you’ve ever had a spark of inspiration, this episode will help you learn how to shape it into something meaningful and impactful.

A hydrogen powered home would be revolutionary.
What is the tallest biggest building in the world??
Thank you for going over the situation about the Science Live Scholarship! I’ve been a little paranoid about missing Lives due to busy schedules and unavaliable technology, resulting in losing my scholarship. I’m glad that the requirements are a little bit flexible, so I still have it. Thank you!

The fact that some jets can go faster than the speed of sound is crazy to me!
Interesting how batteries go from negative to positive and not positive to negative.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a great time with their families and ate some delicious food. I know I did!
It’s interesting that a grateful attitude can actually build our resilience and change our brains. I believe that we can find something to be grateful for each day. I am thankful for this program and all that work that goes into creating it–thank you!!

Roger Billings stories are the best about all the adventures he has had lol.
My parents have a radio with a antenna and flashlight that operates on batteries for camping. Service isn’t great with the antenna but I find it interesting how service is received on radios. Same with the walkie talkies that they use.
R51 is my favorite part of science live
I love watching the science lives, they’re so informative
The R-51 is interesting it really is laughter fuel!
R51 is so funny!
Really cool learning SOS on morse code
Benjamin Franklin was a very intelligent person. I didn’t know he was involved with the Leyden Jar
My favorite part was when r51 sent an SOS signal and then after that, there was a UFO spotted on the news.
Speaking of being grateful, we are grateful for this scholarship opportunity. Thank you so much! Evan is thankful for family, food, love, legos, video games, and our pet cats!
I found this science live very interesting, also happy late Thanksgiving

I am going to be a inventioneer
I loved learning about the Leydan Jar
R-51 is so funny!!
On parent’s phones you can check all that they have done and if it says science live video, parents know that your kids have done it and after you watch the science live video then you can do other fun activities and you have to do your schoolwork before you unlock your phone activities
Hi Acellus! I always enjoy watching the science lives and look forward to it every time!
Making batteries sounds like a real challenge
Happy Thanksgiving! I love the learning activities!
First thing is that it is interesting that the name of batteries came from canons. Second of all it is crazy to me that a batteries’ properties, and I guess principles were formed off of a jar.
I think it would be hilarious if Ben Franklin actually cooked the turkey with the layden jar.
180. is funny lol
Thank you for the video. Happy Thanksgiving.

Wow this was a great video! I can’t wait for more! Also, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Happy holidays, I really love learning about aerodynamics and I hope to be a pilot in the future or at least learn how to fly a plane
I liked learning about the Leyden jar from the 1700’s made by a scientist in then city of Leyden. The jar would be filled with salt water and had a nail that went through the top of the jar and it was connected to a machine that produced static electricity. The machine would be tuned on and the electricity would run down into the nail and into the liquid. Years later Benjamin Franklin would be gifted a Leyden jar from a friend. He went on to do many more experiments with the jar.
The jet with the long nose was cool looking. R-51 in this episode was having too much fun with the morse code. Happy Thanksgiving!
math is one of my fav classes!!!happy late thanksgiving!!
I think it would be hilarious if you did a behind the scenes part in the next science live, where you would show the parts where the teachers were recording their videos and messed up/did something really funny. I also thought that the jet with the nose pointing down looked really funny.
yessss!! people who want this to happen, reply!
greetings from Wyoming. thanks for the live
Happy Thanksgiving! im thankful for science live!🦃

The development of how the battery changed from positives and negatives on the same side to the positive side at the top of the battery and the negative at the bottom of the battery is very interesting.
Loved this science live! Hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving 🦃
Thank you Acellus for Science Live! I look forward to it every week
