Inventioneering
November 26, 2025 • EPISODE 288
What does it really take to bring ideas to life? In this episode, Dr. Roger Billings takes us deeper into the world of inventioneering—the dynamic mix of creativity, engineering, and problem-solving that turns imagination into real-world inventions. He shows how inventioneering isn’t limited to tech or science—it can be applied to any creative or practical project. If you’ve ever had a spark of inspiration, this episode will help you learn how to shape it into something meaningful and impactful.

I would like to know how loud a sonic boom can get.
Will you make a course in scientific method/science projects for each grade level? I really enjoy R51 and I learn a lot watching the interactions between you and Dr. Pajetmonet.
that jet looks so cool! And that joke that Roger Billings told about it was so funny!🛩️
Happy thanksgiving and the Morse code is super with r-51 is super interesting
Technology back in those times has always fascinated me, especially when you compare it to modern versions of the same thing. It’s amazing to see which components have stayed the same and which components have been changed or removed entirely.
Can you hear your own voice if you are traveling faster than the speed of sound?
I’m so thankful for Acellus for helping me
Loved this lesson! Happy thanksgiving
R-51: ‘I know that! Your speaking to a super intelligent being!’ 🙂 I love Morse code. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy thanksgiving! Thank you for Acellus, It has really made homeschooling easier for me and is helping me a lot. Thanks!
I am so very much looking foward to thanksgiving. What are yall planning on doing and eating? That kid that wrote a story about dirty socks was so cute and smart. I think the Leyden jar is pretty cool. I wonder what the best kind of battery is? Is it not interesting or unique how they gave a cheap battery such a big name like a capacitor?
Are the plane cameras overhead or in front of you? happy thanksgiving!
Happy thanksgiving acellus
R51 is so funny! Thank you so much for Acellus and Science Live! It’s awesome!
I ddint know batteries could be so big

Thanks for another great Science Live. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
I hope that the X-59 can improve supersonic aircraft and allow supersonic travel over land.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!:)
Its crazy of things that we use today, like the origin of batteries and why they were named. It’s something we don’t even think about but we use on a daily basis.
It’s so cool that we got to see how electronics improved throughout the years.
r-51 was also supper funny!😆
Happy thanksgiving!
I thought it was cool to learn about the NASA jet trying to eliminate the sonic boom and make it more like a thud. I think its so amazing how people come up with ideas to fix a problem, I didn’t think the long nose on the jet would do anything. I also thought it was nice to know that the battery went through so many phases before it became what we know as the battery today.
How fast can the X-59 fly, can it go past mock-3 without the long nose breaking off?
I enjoyed Science Live. Happy Thanksgiving.
All hail R51 lol, happy Thanks Giving to every one!
I love hearing about how inventions build off each other over time. Very interesting! Happy Thanksgiving to you all 🙂
We love Acellus!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thankful for R 51.
Happy Thanksgiving! Im thankful for Acellus and Science Live!
Yesterday I went to the Kennedy Space Center and I realized that many rockets are powered with hydrogen, is the way hydrogen power work in a car the same as in a rocket?
I love Acellus live!
How fast is the speed of sound?
How do you get an invention to the right person? An invention isn’t any good if only the inventor knows about it.
R51 trying to do Morse code was really funny.
I LOVE IT
Happy Thanksgiving to the Acellus crew! I would have liked to know the formula and/or the calculations that went down for the X-59
Great episode, and happy thanksgiving!
R51 is so funny
Happy Thanksgiving!
It would be cool to fly a jet that makes a super sonic boom sound. Wonder how bad the shock would be from the Leyden jar?
I love Acellus happy thanks giving!

It is a great topic to learn about invention. I hope one day I can invent something cool.
It’d be so convenient to have super sonic passenger planes, instead of it taking several hours to get from “New York to London (example)” it could take at most just one hour.
Hello, from Florida!
I find the advise of the half full glass very true.
This video is very interesting. Thank you, Acellus!
Enjoyed this ton! especially learning about planes, personally I like the R-51, so funny. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Common aircrafts that take flights faster than the speed of sound initiate pressure waves into large shockwaves by their configurations to move in a quicker speed. On the otherhand, the X-59 aircraft which also travels faster than the speed of sound initiates and manipulates shockwaves that are extended out throughout the air with its long, pointy nose and structure. The difference between them is that the X-59 makes a minor sound with only 75 decibels when breaking the sound barrier, which is equivalent to the sound of a car door’s closure. The other aircrafts that travel in the speed of sound make a 110 decibels sound when breaking the sound barrier, which is equivalent to the sound of a massive explosion.
Thank you for providing these science lives for us, I enjoy learning new things.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Science live is so cool
I found it very interesting that you can fly at sonic speed with out making a sonic boom. How loud is a sonic boom?
Today I have learned what the scientific process is, that science includes art, and to be grateful for everything 🙂
