How to Invent

November 19, 2025  •  EPISODE 287

How do great inventions begin? In this episode of Science LIVE, Dr. Roger Billings breaks down the process of inventing—showing how curiosity, creativity, and simple problem-solving can grow into real innovations. Using Morse code as an example, he explains how messages are sent and demonstrates it with a telegraph key. A fun, practical look at how anyone can start turning ideas into inventions.

Acellus, as a kid who was in public school for 7 years, i just wanted to say thank you. I’m a 11 year old girl with ADHD and Anxiety, I couldn’t focus and needed 1 on 1 time with the teacher. And like most kids with ADHD (some without too) – I never knew what we were doing, I have a brother with Special Needs, and he is now in our Public Middle School without me. I just wanted to say thank you for extra hep, breaks, and adjustable timing. I started Acellus around middle of July and i have a 3.45 GPA right now, i have an A+ in math, and I have focused more and felt happier. Thank you for this lovely education program.

    Love,
    Cali D.

I agree, this homeschool program has been overall the best! It’s helped me focus more on things, and has taught me a lot more than the K-12 program. It’s nice knowing that I have no more over due lessons for going really fast through problems, getting them all right, and then having too do them over again for getting them all right in short time.

Also, I try to watch every episode there is of Science Live and I think that its not fair to ones who do watch it for some that don’t watch it to still get the scholarship, because you are supposed to keep your promise if possible and if you signed up for the scholarship then you should watch the episodes of Science Live, Plus it can be fun and very informative, so the ones that are not watching it are really missing out.
