Electric cars actually came first, and then gasoline cars came around for their energy density. Now electric cars are coming back, but hydrogen cars are coming around for their energy density. It seems that the universality of electricity and batteries lead to their continual recovery. I wonder if hydrogen cars will last (as better batteries) or if electric cars will still come back when solid-state batteries get better.
