the butterflies are so beautiful.
My favorite part was when they found out about helium because helium makes everything flow and is lighter than air–I wonder if it is soft? I think the metamorphosis of a butterfly is really neat. The caterpillar with the snake-like make-up was really interesting because it can scare aware birds and other predators. It’s neat how they make themselves a chrysalis, attach themselves, and how the chrysalis becomes camoflauged to the surrounding area. After that, the caterpillar in the chrysalis dissolves into a liquid, that then becomes a butterfly. Every year, every fourth generation, the monarch butterflies from all over continent migrate to Mexico.
